Comic Book Art: 'The Sixth Gun'

Continuing my look at my favourite comic books and their cover art, with The Sixth Gun.

The Sixth Gun is an ongoing series written by Cullen Bunn and illustrated by Brian Hurtt, first released on July 2010, by Oni Press.

The Sixth Gun is a post American Civil War story of ancient weapons and supernatural occurrence. "The Six" show up in all forms across the world and its history but their true power and purpose is shrouded in mystery. In search of money and treasure Drake Sinclair navigates with an unmeasured knowledge of Southern magic until he is reunited with his former acquaintances looking to revive a crazed war veteran, General Hume. Hume and his men carry the estranged "six" in the form of special revolvers, each with its own specific ability. They can raise the dead, predict the future, and grant other unimaginable power. Completely unaware of the world she is about to be thrown into Becky Montcrief mourns the murder of her grandfather and acquires General Hume's piece of "the six".
